simply incredible! Some 737
women and eight men packed into
the hotel portals to hear the high
priestess on lifestyles in the ’90s
give the crowd pointers on cook-
ing, decorating, renovating and
energizing.

. Stewart was an outstanding suc-
cess! America’s Martha Stewart is
classically elegant, fresh and natu-
ral, with great skin, is extremely
well-groomed and really knows
her stuff.

fans is that Martha is going to
produce her own television show
which should be on the fall view-

I pitied the eight gentlemen at
the end of the reception as they
searched desperately for the men’s
rooms which,. outnumbered as

they were, had been turned into
ladies’ rooms, courtesy of screens
and potted plants.

Event chairman Cathy Howden
and her Junior Leaguers are to be
congratulated on this major fund-
raising effort which managed to
raise more than $25,000.

1 know that they were thrilled
with the turnout and with the
response!

Martha, in turn, was smitten
with our clean, invigorating and
beautiful city. It’s the first time
she’s been in Canada. She wanted
to start with the best!...

The new feature movie Stakeout
2 started filming fast Monday, a
bit later than expected, due to bad
weather down south.

The director and producer once

stars Richard Dreyfuss and Emilio
Estevez will reprise their, winning
roles!...

Still in the wild and wooly
world of movies and television,
the quietly effective publicist for
Cannell Films, Leeanne Muldoon,
is no longer at Cannell Film Pro-
ductions.

Seems that after five years with
the Cannel] company, Leeanne
really wanted a change.

Her news today is that Leeanne
will be the publicist for Stakeout
2! What a change!

Cannell’s Steve Sasson tells me
that, since it’s a bit quiet right
now, they'll be hiring a new
publicity person in about two
months as they gear up for a very
busy spring!...

Roy Lisogar was honored last
Thursday evening at a festive din-
ner at the Pacific National Exhib-
ition hosted by the president of
the PNE, Sandra Bannister.

The occasion was to honor Roy
with the 1992 Community Award
for his assistance in special com-

' munity projects.

Specifically Roy had donated a
1992 burgundy Buick Regal which
was to be raffled off to celebrate
the 100th anniversary of the first
Ukrainians arriving in Canada.

Through his generasity, they
were able to raise more than
$100,000 for futur? projects...

Access to the party was by the
glass elevator running on the out-
side of the tower. But there was
one prominent soul at the party
who couldn’t do it. So he rode up
very quietly and anonymously in
the enclosed freight elevator! ....
