The pair have created
Amateur Sports Network, an
Internet service that allows
minor and adult teams all
over North America a place to
post pertinent information.
The impetus for starting such
a service came from personal
experience, where children,
amateur sports and a busy
schedule challenge the most
organized parents.

“About a year and a haif
ago I was trying to think of
different ways to make life a
little easier,” notes Parks. “I
was on the Internet and my
background was in amateur
sports and all thar type of
thing as a hobby ... I took a
ook at it and said, ‘hey, the
Internet is available, it’s for
getunyg information out and
how do you get information
out and how do people find
you and how can we make
this work well.”

Over a peried of 10
months the pair researched
and found the right kind of
software that could make the
idea a reality.
