Some of the area’s littlest critters will be the focus of un evening of activity and obser- vation organized by the Greater Vancouver Regional District's (GYRD) Parks Department. Adults and children are invited to attend this free program, Tuesday, July 23, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., that takes a look at the flora and fauna of the Capilano River area, Track shy raccoons, discover delicate wildflowers, watch nesting woodpeckers and stalk glittering insects. The group wil! meet in the main parking lot at the Capilano River fish hatchery. Access to the hatchery is off Capilano Road in North Vancouver, just north of the Cupilano Suspension Bridge. Participants are asked to wear good walk- ing shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. The walk will take place rain or shine. The session is free. Registration is not required.
