«And it’s in danger of closing.

The Alano Club of the North Shore is a non-profit organi-
zation that provides a place for members and their familizs to
gather, without the presence of alcohol.

«The. club depends on membership fees and fundraising for
its survival but it’s starting to lose money. It’s a large club, and
menthly. expenses including rent, food and coffee are draining
funds fast.

The Keep the Doors Open Benefit i is scheduled for Oct, 24 &
25. The entertainment lineup includes award-winning R.N.B.
Dance and Theatre Arts, singer Nan des Marais, musician Bill
Clint, as well as performances by some of the Alano Club mem-
bers, It’s happening at 8 p.m. at the Alano Club, 176 E. 2nd
~ St., in North Van. Tickets are $15. Call Colleen at 984-7321
