Funding went to World Vision, an organization cur- rentiy involved in more than 6,000 projects woridwide in more than $0 countries. Local merchants sponsored the students’ efforts. pril Romance helps celebrate anniversary THE SEYMOUR Art Gallery recently celebrated its second anniversary in their new location (in the Deep Cove Cultural Centre) at 4360 Galiant Ave. The event — an April Romance — featured a silent auction, raf- fles, Biuegrass music, food, cigars and wine tasting. Proceeds from the event will assist in providing future exhibi- tions and programs for the gallery. Students starved themselves for 30 hours to empathize with starving people through- out the world. For the 30-hour ordeal partici- pants consumed nothing but fruit juice and water. The school held a party with sports, movies and other activities to keep students’ minds off of their stomachs.
