as hot colors at the close of the

colors to tender pastel tones.

thinking of rofling out the red
carpet in a tiny sitting room, go
right ahead. The joy of decorating
is based on self-expression.

Carpet texture adds another ex-
citing dimension to your decor and
makes a fashion statement. Some
of the terms you are likely to en-
counter include velvets, saxonies,
frieze (free-zay), level loop, and
cut and loop carpets.

Ask your dealer about the dif-

while aesthetics govern texture
choice, practicality also plays a
