The company used the techno- logy to decorate one of its trucks last month. The original artwork was sent to California-based Computer Image Systems where a laser scanner transferred the image on to a computer tape which was then programmed to drive the world’s largest computer printer. The printer can generate images on self-adhesive vinyl up to 28'x60" in a single pass. tr business briefcase by Michael Becke The process eliminates weeks of work, making it the least expensive way to display large-scale artwork or photographs on short-run ap- plications. The printer is used primarily for the production of large billboards and increasingly for graphics on company fleets.
