AN UNIDENTIFIED man who grabbed almost $1,800 in jewels
and cash from three separate West Vancouver homes i is facing
a long jail sentence.

The man, arrested by police, the same day the break-ins
were committed, has pleaded guilty ‘to charges and been
sentenced to two years plus a day in jail.

The break-ins all occured on Marine DRive in the 4000
block, the 4100 block and the 4400 block on Dec. 30. .

Other break-ins during the week: .

* Between 5 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. on Dec. 30 someone
entered a house in the 4700 block of Woodvalley Place
through an unlocked window. Nothing was reported stolen.

* Between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the same day, someone
entered a housé in the 4300 block of Erwin Drive through an
unlocked basement window and stole an oak chest and jewels
values at $1,500.

* Between 7:30 p.m. Dec. 30 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 31, so-
meone threw a rock through the window of a 1500 block Clyde
Avenue structure and made off with $80 in cash. :
