DUNGEY MADE CHAIRMAN NV school trustees sworn in NORTH VANCOUVER School Board acclaimed Roy Dungey as its new chairman at its inaugural meeting Tuesday night. Dungey, a six-year veteran of the board, says he looks forward to the coming year as a very pro- ductive and challenging time. ROY DUNGEY...new North Yan- couver School Beard chairman. He said that during his tenure on the board he has noticed increased parental and community interest in education and he hopes that this interest can be directed productive- ly towards public education in North Vancouver. In a later interview, Dungey elaborated saying he’d like this awareness turned towards a posi- tive use. He cited the Superintend- ent’s White Paper on French Im- mersion as an example of effective communication and involvement between parents and the board.
