Daniel Renaire Willis appeared in North Vancouver provincial court Monday. The North Vancouver man was arrested and charged with one count of break and enter after a Grouse Woods home was burglarized March 27. Willis was later charged with possession of stolen property after police seized a collection of coins March 28. Another charge of break and enter was Jaid against Willis in connection with an April 18 break-in at a North Vancouver home. Appearing before North Vancouver provincial court Judge J.D. Layton, Willis was remanded to Oct. 28 to stand trial on the charges. Fire escape video studied A HOME video on the subject of how to escape a house fire may be preduced if local fire departments in the Greater Vancouver Regional District are successful in raising funds. On the North Shore, North Vancouver City and District Fire Departments and West Vancouver Fire Department are each re- quired to raise $1,000 towards the project before Aug. 7. The home video would be avaitable to school groups and inter- ested individuals. If funding is raised in time, the video would be shown on the Knowledge Network during Fire Prevention Week. Credit will be given to financial contributors at the end of the video. The project is sponsored by the Greater Vancouver Regional District Fire Chiefs. Hearing set in confinement case A 38-YEAR-old North Vancouver man appeared in Vancouver county court Wednesday to face four criminal charges, including confinement and assault. The charges were laid against Kamram Amir-Etemadi fullowing a series of incidents in which he is alleged to have confined a woman, threatened her with a razor and a kuife and physically assaulied her. In addition to one count of confinement and assault, Amir- Etemadi was charged with assavit with weapons and intent to use a weapon, Appearing before Judge D.T. Whetmore, Amir-Etemadi was remanded to Sept. 4 for pleas and jury selection and ordered to stand trial Sept. 30. Amir-Etamadi's case is in Vancouver county court because he elected to be tried by judge and jury. Drug suspects Imake appearance FIVE PEOPLE appeared in North Vancouver orovincial court Thursday on narcotics charges. James Alan Reader, 28, Frank Gerald Fidlin, 24, David Alan Henneberry, 30, all of North Vancouver, and Richard Steven Zulps, 23, of Vancouver were jointly charged with possession of cannabis resin and cocaine, and possession of the two drugs for the purpose of trafficking. The charges were laid against the four in connection with a July 23 drug raid. Kelly Roberta Roulette, 24, of Vancouver was also charged with possession of cocaine in the same incident.
