The proposal was raised by Ald. Ernie Crist in answer to the problem of noise levels for nearby Norgate residents. “If we had equipment to provide statistics then we could enforce .the noise bylaw,” Crist said. In a. report, council members were told that con- sultants recommended a 12% foot high barrier on the west of Pemberton Lane combined with noise level reduction measures by the industries. “It’s the only way to significantly reduce the im- pact of the industrial opera- tions, on the residential area,"’ said aid.
