“If I don’t have anything to
do I get depressed,” she
says, and doesn’t wonder
that her husband Miles calls
her a workaholic. But, she
says, since he became
supervisor of trolleys at B.C.
Hydro last year, he has.
-become one too. -

She is determined that her
work will not interfere with
the raising of her 14-year-old
daughter Cheryl and = 12-
year-old son Robert.

“I'm at home in_ the
morning when the kids get
up and I’m there when they
get home.”

“I feel an obligation to the
community ... not that
everything would fall down
if I quit, but there are not
too many people have the
time I have.”

And, she says, she is lucky
to have a husband who is a
basic meat and potatoes man
because, as she puts it, “I'm
not a very good cook.”

She says she may consider
joining the auxiliary police
force now that she has had

with them for the past three

“It has,” she says, “been
quite an experience. And no
two days are the same.”

Bonnie Cornborough says
she can’t remember what she
did with her time before
becoming involved in crime
prevention.

“I am not the type to sit
around and have coffee,”
she says, as though anyone
could think she was.

“Sure it would be nice to
get paid for my work.”

She pauses and stares up

“It would be very nice,”
she repeats pensively.

creating instant spring in

1. Purchase fresh spring
flowers such as Dutch tulips,
daffodils and hyacinths.
Then wrap stems and tulip
blossoms in wax paper
