The 13th Annua! Coho Festival begins on Thursday
September 10th with Festival in the Malls. .

Park Royal Shepp!ng Centre plays hust to “Salmon Imagery
in Art”. This Children's Art Show is contributed by North and
West Vancouver elemeniary students, compiled by their instruc-

tors, coordinated by the Wes? Vancouver Arts Council and

sponsored by the Coho Festival Society.

tn Park Royal, there will be exhibits from a wide array of
organizations to teach you mare about salmon and the natural
wonders of our spectacular province. :

Festival in the Malis continues to Saturday, Septamber 12.

with Tag Cay. North Shore school children wilt be in Park Royal
collecting donations for Salmon Enhancement projects. Pro-
ceeds help finance over 80 classrooms with aquariums, fer-
tilizing equipment and incubation boxes. The boxes are placed
in local streams that have been cleaned and prepared to
welcome the returning salmon. Your donations make this all

possible, so please take this opportunity to support salmon *

enhancement. -

-  COHO WALK

CAPILANO RIVER REGIONAL PARK
Sunday, September 13,.10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Celebrate our magnificent west coast salmon at the 13th

annual COHO WALK, a scenic 7.5 km trail walking adven-
ture, Sunday, September 13, in Capilano River Regional Park.

Live music at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. will start you off, and
there's more music to keep you going on the walk. There ara
several interpretive stations along the route, so you can trace
the life cycle of the saimon while enjoying the splendor of the
swilt -flowing river.

Greater Vancouver Regional District naturalists will greet you
‘at the Hatchery to answer your ‘fishy’ questions.

The walk follows woodland and mountain traits from the
Cleveland Dam alot:g Capilano Pacific Tralt to the finish at
Ambleside Park. The waik includes, opportunities to visit the
CGapilane Suspension Bridge, ‘and stop off for ‘fishy’ face
painting.

To get to the Wailk’s siart, bus or drive to Park Royal Shopp-
ing Centre in West Vancouver. Meet under the readerboard at
the South Mail, then hop aboard the shuttiebus for a short ride
to Cleveland Dam. (Sorry, no dogs please). There is a small
registration fee, with the proceeds going . to ‘Salmonid
Enhancement.

Buses depart every 15 minutes between 40 am, and2 2 'P. m. :
