My first reaction was that Customs must have opened anoth- er lane, and that we all might be getting home a litte bit earlier. However, as { neared the divi- sion in the road I realized that it was only the “Pace Lane” (Peace Arch Boarder Entry) that-was open. With only three Canada Customs officials working the vehicles through the lines, I grew even more impatient with my slow ‘progress. As I continued in the bumper to bumper, start-stop fashion, | was suddenly cut off by a Ford ‘Mustang that had traveled down ‘the “Pace Lane" hoping to save lime by cutting into my waiting line. [wasn’t the feast bit impressed. My possible retaliation could have ended in fisticuffs as the pas- senger of the vehicle looked tired, muscular, and not in the meud for taking his turn in the line-up. 1 stayed in my car...
