Chef and media personality James Barber draws on yet another of his myriad talents as the auctioneer for this event. Mainstage is an annual event, and this one is slated to be the largest yet. To help meet the cost of mounting such a festival, the organizing committee sent hun- dreds of letters to well-known personalities around the world, soliciting articles that could be auctioned off at a fundraising event. To date, more than 60 items have been donated by stars of sports, literature, stage and screen, A cataloque of items is available. Call 984-9798 for more information.
