FIRST a quick update on, the doll project. My
daughter delivered three boxloads of dolls to the
Lynn Valley fire station last week. -

This included the first five
Cabbage look-alikes plus

budget
beaters

another. seven donated by
Fanny’s Fabrics. All had
complete wardrobes.

In addition, there was a
number of dolls with charm-
ing knitted outfits left over
from a Christmas bazaar
and several other donated
dolls.

Two dolls went to Wind-
sor School to be included in
a hamper that our youngest
daughter’s class is preparing
for a family that includes

two little girls.

Mrs. Smith - your $25
went to buy five genuine
Barbie dolls - I couldn’t
believe the bargain price. |
also bought a pattern and
now we're racing against
time to get at least two out-
fits made for each.

Thanks to everyone who
contributed dolis and
clothing materials. We've
got enough mterial left to do
it all again next year but we
may wait a couple of weeks
before starting - our den
looks like there's been an
explosion in a fabric shop

and the rest of the family is
getting tense.

On Christmas Day, I try
to serve a really filling
breakfast - it helps to keep

the snackers out of the
kitchen while I wrestle with
the main event.

We open gifts on
Christmas morning - before

breakfast - which helps build

up healthy appetites.
