the directions for installation
and use very carefully and
nowhere did it.give any warn-
ing of any adverse effects
which: might be expected.

Simple instructions, simple to.

carry out.

They did not tell you that,
in putting the receiver to your
ear, there was the possibility
of receiving an electronic
blast that could deafen you
for life.

That is what happened to
me. The sound was terrifying
and almost ear shattering. In
my case this was my one re-
maining serviceable car
which in turn was already 20
per cent impaired. For hours
after, every sound was
distorted, like listening to a

over-educated? Are we too
liberal or too naively kind?
What is wrong with us in
these types-of matters?

Did-we not save significantly
more lives by shortening the
