Food, fashi Quay plans night of woridly delights By Deana Lancaster Contributing Writer YEARNING for a taste of something exotic? Tonight is the Night of Worldly Delights at Lonsdale Quay Marker, where you'll be able to sample food from around the globe: Mexican, Japanese, Thai, Italian and more. Celebrity chefs will be on hand to perform live cooking demonstrations, including the News’ managing editor and Table Hopping columnist, Timothy Renshaw. To press time Monday, Renshaw remained tight-lipped about his plans for > the cooking demonstration, for which he will be paired up with Screaming Mimi's owner Kosta Zogaris. Renshaw did say they would be preparing “something fabulous,” but said: “It’s going to be a surprise.” Local vintners will also be presenting wines to sample and models in ethnic n on the menu dress and the hottest fashions will mingle with guests. Music to set the mood will be provid- ed by a weil-varied line-up of musical groups, including the well-known Rhumba Calzada, featuring hor salsa jazz. Tickets are $10, available at any Lonsdale Quay Market merchant, the customer service desk, or the North Shore News. Proceeds go to the North Shore Multicultural Society, which promotes equal access and opportunities for all ethnic groups.
