THANKS TO a bequest from
@ generous arts patron, North
Shore artists-in-training can
get help funding their dreams.

The Judy Dennis Emerging
Artists Training Fund is seek-
ing its grant recipient for 1996.

The late Judy Dennis was
the first chairman of the North
Shore Arts Commission and
had a special interest in sup-
porting and encouraging
emerging artists. In her will,
she left a $10,000 bequest
from which grants are to be

dreams

made annually to an emerging
artist on the North Shore.

This year's grant is expect-
ed to amount to between $500
and $600. The only stipula-
tions are that the artist must
have completed some training
in his or her chosen field, and
intends to use the money for a
specific goal.

Applications can be
obtained from the North Shore
Charitable Foundation. The
deadline is April 15.
