Antoinetie Warren beean work atthe NSWC under the Challenge “94 program, Although the centre’s application for a uni- versity student hid been cut back from 13 weeks to 10 weeks and its application fora high school stu- dent was not successful at all. Warren completed the program. One of her major achievements was the design and development of a comprehensive plan for market- ing and promoting the services and programs offered by the centre. Said Warren, “In addition to the opportunity which [ was given to further my career goal of working by, for and with women, the expe- rience of working ata women’s centre has been one that 1 will always remember fondly.” The North Shore Women's Centre is located at 3093 Lonsdale Ave. The goal of the NSWC is to improve the social, economic and political status of women. The centre's drop-in resource centre is open from 9:30 aim. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday.
