Infiniti will begin with 15
dealers across Canada and
there are plans for three
dealerships in B.C.

Toyota's Lexus will be of-
fering two models initially,
the rear-wheel-drive LS 400
sedan, and the smaller,
front-wheel-drive ES250
which is essentially 2 luxury
version of the Camry.

The LS 400 takes obvious
styling cues from Mercedes
and BMW but somehow it
still comes out looking like a
big Toyota.

Powered by a 250 horse-
power 4-litre aluminum V-8
engine with four camshafts
and four valves per cylinder,
the LS 400 recently won
Japan’s Car Of The Year
Award.

The smaller ES250 is a
well-equipped, restyled V-
6-powered Camry for those
buyers who desire the
prestigious Lexus nameplate
instead of the Toyota one.

Retail prices on the Lexus
models are not yet available.

detectors practically useless.
