The annual environmental cleanup campaign involves the ef- forts of more than 500,000 volun- teers across the province. Locally, the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre and the Lynn Canyon Concession are co-spon- soring the third annua! Pitcli-In and Picnic Sunday May 7 at 2 p.m. Tor each bag of garbage picked up, the concession stand will treat you to a free hot dog and soft drink. The ecology centre will have Pitch-In bags to hand out and staff will show participants the areas that need to be cleaned. All children must be accom- panied by adults. The event will go ahead rain or shine. This year the ecology centre is extending the area to be cleaned down to the mouth of Lynn Creek at Bridgman and Harbourview parks.
