Association is sending five teams to the pro-
vincial finals. And West Vancouver is even
happier, because it is the first time in 19 years
that a local team will be taking the trip out to

Swangard Stadium.

The only other time the
North Shore sent five teams
was in 1968, and of those,
one team became the pro-
vincial champs.

Of the five teams heading
to the finals, four are from
the top-notch Lynn Valley
Falcons club. The Under !1
team dumped Victoria Bay
United Oaks 1-0 in weekend
play. a score that was

repeated by the U15 team
when it met Port Alberni
Credit Union.

The U16 team beat North
Delta United 2-1, while the
U14 Falcons unseated the
Richmond Strikers 2-0. The
U12 West Van Spuraways
skinned the Port Coquitlam
Tiger Cats 1-0.

The U18 Burdett Beavers
posted the only loss, going

under 1-0 to the Kerrisdale
Road Runners.

The finals will take place
at Swangard Stadium Apnil
24 and 25.

Joining the boys may be a
couple of the North Shore's
girls’ teams as well. Two of
them will enter semi-final
play April 17 and 18: the U13
Lynn Valley Christie Falcons
and the U1l2 West Van
Cheetahs.

In weekend quarter-final
play, the Falcons beat the
West Point Grey Robins 2-1,
and the Cheetahs canned the
Kernsdale Krush 3-0.

made it to the quarter finals
were not as lucky. The U1I4
Lynn Valley Don Davis In-
surance succumbed to the
Surdel Cyclone 3-1. the Will-
ingdon Dirty Dozen did their
dirtiest on the Mount
Seymour Comets with a 1-0
final tally, and the Rich-
mond Superstars lived up to
their name, smashing the
West Van Amazons 11-1.
