The Columbian Autosport Club was founded in 1963, and currently has a mem- bership of 43. Its members ranges from the teens to the. sixties, living throughout the iower mainland area. * The aims of the club are to organize quality ~com- petitions, promote Motorsport, and have fun doing this. The club’s in- terests vary from Slaloming, to Rallying and Racing. ‘Gold Rush’ is’ a match elimination Slalom with money paid out for every run won. (Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs), which is the governing body of Motorsport.in Canada. In 1978 the C.A.C. was the B.C. Region “Club of the Year.” On the social side the club holds at least one event a month. These range from an annual Christmas party, toa golf night, wine tour, baseball game, etc., and throughout the summer there are other gét~ togethers. The current executive of the club is: Michele Reynolds, treasurer; Diana Hancock, secretary; Maureen Baker, past president; Dave Barrie, vice president; and Gary Milligan, president. British & Continental Motors established on the North Shore for 21 years is now under new management. Brent Cowan formerly a service manager at Wright Automotive is the new owner. With 4 mechanics totalling 44 years’ experience, they haved all the know how to handle any automotive problems.
