season at the Mission
Motorsport Park last week-

suceessfil debut season for

weekend finale spoiled
when mechanical problems
kept him and his Datsun
510 out of the race.

The Sports Car Club of
B.C. will hold its driver
training course on
Saturday, Oct. 29 and
Sunday, Oct. 30 at the
Mission facility. Drivers
interested in improving
their skills or thinking of
getting into racing should

more information.

A four-hour endurance
race will be held on the
Sunday of the driver train-
ing weekend to close out
the season at the raceway.
Spectators are welcome.

CAA NEWS... A recent
study by the Ontario branch
of the Canadian
Automobile Association
found that 42% of trucks
inspected during
RoadCheck ‘94 were
removed from the road for
safety reasons.

“Motorists should be con-
cemed that so many trucks
failed inspections during

German sedan gets mild facelift in ‘95 Greg

SUBTLE STYLING refinements, a longer
wheelbase, and 2 lower price are the major
changes to the 1995 Mercedes-Benz $320, the
least-expensive of the German manufactur-
er’s top-of-the-line S-Class luxury sedans.

The manufacturer's suggested retail price of the
1995 $320 sedan has been reduced by 6% from
$94,650 to $89,000, a not inconsiderable $5,650 differ-
ence. Prices of the eight-cylinder $420 and S500 have
been reduced by $7,200 and $2,750 respectively, while
the price of the 12-cylinder S600 remains unchanged
at, hold your breath, $171,350.

Mercedes-Benz’ price-cutting strategy makes the §-
Class sedans more competitive with other luxury
