50,000 British Columbians i in combatting auto theft by joining the CAT: program.

_ CAT isa free program brought to you by BCAA, ICBC and your local police, with
support from the Ministry of the Attorney General.

Jaining is simple. Fill in and mail this form to BCAA. You will receive your

free yellow-and-black CAT decal in the mail. Just place your decal in the rear or

driver’s-side window of your car. The decal will tell police you don’t normally drive

between 7 a.m. and 5 a.m. Then, if an

officer spots your car being driven during

those hours, the officer will assume it has been

‘stolen and will proceed accordingly.

upper lett corner of the rear window of my vehicle.

normally operated between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and $:00 a.n,

understand that the presence af this decal, affixed to the windews of my vehicle, indicates to the —
police that this vehicle is not normally operated between thy hours of 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. tf the
police otverve a person uperating my vehicte during these hours, they will reasonably suspect that
such person is in possession of said vehicle without proper authorization This knowledge permits
the police to make an investigative stop of the vehicte. t understand that in order to withdraw from
pa-ticipation in this program 1 must fully remove the decal from my vehicle. 1 further agree to
remove the ducal prior to the sale or transfer of ownership of my participating vehicte.
