market that will offer specialty
items and a new 350-seat food
court,

Amantea said Park Royal’s
total number of retail outlets will
increase from 220 to about 225.

“Construction,”” he said, ‘‘has
been moving at a faster pace than
expected.’’

The entire $20 million Park
Royal redevelopment project is
scheduled to be completed in the
spring of 1993.

Vancouver-based PCL Con-
structing Pacific Led. has been
awarded the general contract for
the redevelopment project.

Larco purchased Park Royal in
1990 from British Pacific Proper-
ties Ltd. for about $160 million.

The mall was the first regional
shopping mall of its kind in
Canada when it first opened in
