Normally a left-handed bowler, Arbuckle had to convert to bowl- ing right-handed when she ran into physical problems. In her first year of 10-pin bowl- ing she is currently holding a 132- point average. Arbuckle bowls on the See Tens. Along with teammates Kirsten Pegz, Gordon Pegg, Marge Cote and Helen Thrasher, the team recently bowled a single team game of 1,098 including handicap. Elsewhere in North Shore 10- pin, competition remains keen in the Avalon Hotel B.C. All Star League, where four men_ hold 200-point averages. Colin Shott currently holds the top league average and recently bowled four games of 215, 179, 244 and 258 for an 896 total, which increases his average to 21] for 52 league games. Steve Butterley holds the second highest average of 208. Al Boyd rolled games of 211, 243, 234 and 224 for a 912 series which puts his average up to 206 and third best overall. Mark Innes holds the fourth nighest average of 202. _ Jack Major bowled a great 277 game and a 910 total for four games while Jim Pratt had an 883 series and games of 206, 218, 222 and 233. Dean Jeffries bowled an 860 total with games of 178, 245, 234 and 203. In his first year of 10-pin, Mark Naphin is holding a 95-point average bowling in the Thunder- bird Lanes youth program's ban- tam division. He recently bowled three games of 90, 128 and 134 for a 352 series. Another first-year bowler, Dino Scutin, rolled games of 88, 119 and 121 for a 32S total. Adam Knight has a 109 average and recently bowled a single game of 151. Billy McInnes has a 64 average and rolled a high 101 game. Bowling in the senior division of the youth program at Lions Gate Lanes, Kevin Penn had a three- game series of 544 with games of 187, 197 and 160, while Brian Eskesen rolled games of 172, 177 and 18! for a 530 total, and Tina McCabe had a 484 series with games of 155, 162 and 167. Julie Manfredi was named bowler of the week in the junior division after she bowled 82 pins over her three-game average. Bowler of the week in the senior division was Ron Parker who had 89 pins over his three-game average. In the Royalette Ladies League at Lions Gate Lanes, Pam McLean bowled three big games of 189, 168 and 184 for a 54] total. Inga Eskesen bowled the top score of the day with a 598 series and games of 225, 181 and 192. Sandra Chadwick was the best woman bowler in the Neate’s Cof- fee Doubles league when she bowl- ed four games of 182, 203, 201 and 195 for a huge 781 total. Marilyn Moscovitch followed closely with games of 211, 187, 172 and 197 for a 767 series. Marge Gardner, meanwhile, had a high single game of 224 and Joyce Stoddart had two games of 206 and 202. Bob Gardner had high series for the men with games of 180, 192, 223 and 193 for a 788 total. Carolyn Stobbe currently holds a 144-point average in the Duggan West Insurance Mixed Trio League and recently rolled a big § single game of 192. Kim Nonis had a four-game series of 768 with games of 17], 189, 205 and 203, while Al Boyd had games of 186, 193, 214 and 222 for an 815 total.
