risen 66 per cent to facilitate the
addition of more efficient handling
systems at the landfill site, Phillips
said.

The increase will be reflected on
this year’s tax bills. due to be
mailed in May.

Phillips said he will be enclosing

an explanation with the bills to
kive taxpayers @ chance to unders-
tand why the increase was neces-
sary.

In West) Vaneouser, the only
other municipality on the North
Shore that has a separate levy for
garbage collection, homeowners
pay $87.78 this year.
