which Architect Ian
Davidson presented to the
North Vancouver Com-
munity Arts Council's.
Eleventh Annual Meeting
held October 15 in the
Gallery at. Presentation
House.

Mr. Davidson, who has
just recently been elected
President of the West
Vancouver Community Arts
Council, drew comparisons
with The Banff School of
Fine Arts and Stratford as
being top quality events
which annually attract
people from all over, the
country and other talented
artists. é

Both Banff and Stratford
started in a small way, but
because of their high
standards, they became well
known and = grew. ac-
cordingly.

Mr. Davidson suggested
that the North Vancouver
Community Arts Council
and West Vancouver
Community Arts Council

should look into the.

possibilities of such an event
— “Something for the mind
and the spirit” on the North
Shore.
