N. Shore fencing
team shines at
meet in Cregon

TWO WEST Vancouver fencing
team members were the first Ca-
nadians to win in their age group
in the U.S. Open Junior Circuit
held in Oregon Feb. | and 2.

Tim Stanford won in the under
18 category and Alexandra
Gulliani_ won in the under 15 cat-
egory.

The competition drew 300 par-
ticipants who competed in three
categories which also included
under 21.

Meanwhile, other North Shore
fencers, sisters Marie and Mo-mo
O’Connor were selected for their

fencers under 13 years will be par-
ticipating.
