Nissan launches Maxima cost- free program

CANADIANS WHO buy Nissan’s
1989-model Maxima executive
sports-sedan will be the first to en-
joy an entirely new program of
cost-free car care.

“Essentially, Maxima owners
will only need to buy the gas, the
insurance and the licence plates,
and bring their cars in for sched-
uled service,’ says Yves Boyer,
Vice President, Sales and Market-
ing for Nissan Automobile Com-
pany (Canada) Ltd.

“*Routine oil, filter and spark-
plug changes and other regular
maintenance, plus replacement of
wear-and-tear items will all be free
of charge for the first three years
of ownership.”’

**What’s more,’’ Boyer con-
tinues, ‘‘in the unlikely event a
Maxima is disabled overnight, the
owner will be entitled to the loan
of a Nissan courtesy car.”’

The new program, ‘‘Maxima
Extra Care,”’ covers all of Nissan’s
new 1989-model Maximas which
go on sale in Canada in October.
Tires are the only item not covered
by the program. They carry their
own manufacturer’s warranty.
