ground as Smoked Salmon ($5.95)
and Escargot ($4.95), but selection
also strays a litte further afield
with Chicken Strudel ($4.95), a
chicken breast with goat cheese
and spinach wrapped in phyllo
pastry.

Entrees — one chicken, two fish,
and six red meat offerings — run
from $12.95 to $19.95.

Because access to the restaurant
is achieved solely via Grouse
Mountain’s famous Skyride, any
outing to Grouse Nest requires that
even the native-born Lower
Mainlander become a tourist.

So for those whose summer
vacations may be somewhat
limited this year, a trip to Grouse
Nest is the perfect opportunity to
dip into that collection of baseball
hats, strap on the Instamatic and
button up matching Hawaiian
shirts.

The Skyride is free for anyone
with Grouse Nest reservations.
Regular price otherwise is $7.50.

Decked out in the appropriate
touristic regalia Friday night, my
wife and | joined a howling mob
of international Skyriders, all of
whom were laden with varying
amounts of Expo 86 memorabilia.
