B2 - Wedmesday, February 23, 1983 - North Shore News Dukes force hoop playoff A victory by Windsor Dukes over league champion Sentinel Spartans this past week has set the stage for a sudden death playoff game against the Carson Graham Eagles to determine the site of the ‘AA’ Howe Sound Championships. The Dukes by virtue of their” victory over the Spartans have an identical record at the end of season's play as the Carson Graham Eagles. Both teams are tied for second spot with 20 points. Leading the way in the second half was Windsor's grade 11, 6’8” centre David Lodgins who has been the backbone of the team all year long. Spartans heid Lodgins to five points in the first half, but in the second half Lodgins was unstoppable as he scored 24 points to lead the Dukes to a 75-70 victory.
