Both the Nissan Quest and Mercury Villager were introduced in 1992, prod- ucts of a joint venture between Nissan and Ford, and built in a Ford plant in Avon Lake, Ohio. The Quest was the more expensive of the two, and was marketed as an upscale Mini-van. For this reason, it didn’t appeal to the majority of family buyers who had test drive limited budgets.
