Held in Marten’s newly opened North Vancouver music centre and piano showroom, the husband and wife duo performed expertly on imported German Quality Estonia grand pianos. After the recital, the dynamic couple received waves of applause frorn the appreciative audience now overflowing the large studio/showroom. When you look at the velvet swags, mirrors, giant chandelier and elevated platform stages, one finds it hard to believe that this was an old mobile phone centre just three short weeks ago, Marten calls his studio/showroom “a real community centre”, and says he has plans to host a variety of concerts in the upcoming months. He specializes in imported Estonia, hand-crafted, grand pianos and was more than happy to host the event this past weekend in celebration of his grand opening. Because it is entirely hand-made, each Estonia piano can take more than a year to build. Testimonials from famous jazz musicians like Dave Brubeck and Osear Peterson prove that each instrument is truly a work of art in its own right. Built especially for performance purposes, ca Estonia does not even make an upright model. Marten encourages people to come in and view the pianos. And music lovers will not want to miss his next musical event. It is definitely something to look forward to — keep an ear open for upcoming dates and times. 985-7455 ladies. PRESENTATION HOUSE ARTS.
