BC Ferries to get
efficiency audit

THE provincial government will
implement all of the recommenda-
tions in mediator John Fryer's final
report on the BC Ferries stakeholder
advisory process.

Said Deputy Premier Dan Miller, the minis-
ter responsible tor BC Ferries, “Mr. Fryer’s
report thoroughly addresses the tariff and
stakeholder issues for BC Ferries. J have
instructed my staff and the British Columbia
Ferry C orporation to act on his recommenda-
tions immediately.”

Fryer made four recommendations in his
report:

@ the current stakeholder process should be
continued, with new terms of reference nego-
tiated. Regions without a formal stakeholder
process need to have one established at the ear-
liest possible date;

Ma second tier stakeholder group should be
formally created, with representatives from all
regional advisory committees and negotiated

and piano showroom,
the husband and wife
duo performed expertly
on imported German

pianos. After the recital,

the dynamic couple
received waves of

appreciative audience
now overflowing the
large studio/showroom.

centre just three short
weeks ago,

Marten calls his
studio/showroom “a
real community
centre”, and says he has
plans to host a variety
of concerts in the
upcoming months. He
specializes in imported
Estonia, hand-crafted,

grand pianos and was
more than happy to
host the event this past
weekend in celebration
of his grand opening.
