Lacrosse Indians defeat Port Coquitlam Saints THE NORTH Shore [n- dians just keep rolling along in their young season in the West Cozasi Senior Lacrosse League as the team crushed another foe 24-10 May 9 at the North Shore Rec Cen- tre. Port Coquitlam Saints went down 4-0 early and finished the first period trailing 7-3. Things didn’t get better in the second period as Port Coquitlam outscored by a 9-5 margin. The third period saw things decline further for the Saints as they were out-duelled 8-2, for a final score of 24-10. The North Shore Indians have played their first three games. The team has implemented a new defence and has acquired six or seven new faces under the direc- tion of coaches John Wiltsie and Lance Baker. Wiltsie says the game plan this year is to win the President's Cup. During the game with Port Co- quitlam, Duane Jacobs had five goals and six assists to lead the North Shore Indians. Chuck Martin was five and four, while Craig Squires, Wayne Baker and Kevin Powless all scored three goals.
