Once they pay their deductible, ICBC will cover damages done by fire, lightning, theft or attempted theft, vandalism, windstorm, hail, explosion, floods, falling aircraft, falling or flying objects, impacts with animals, earthquakes and falling through supermarket roofs. Because none of these damages are the owner’s fault, making the claim does not result in loss of discount on the Claim-Rated Scale. Whiie damage from earthquakes is pretty rare, comprehensive claims are not. ICBC received over 292,000 of them to the end of September and the bil! exceed- ed $95 million.
