Mailbox BUSINESS STIFLED Time for change in mayor's chair Dear Editor Re: Humphreys’ council approval of Dundarave Restaurant. Please have Mr. Humphreys ex- plain to the voters of West Van- couver why the Sager family could not get a licence to operate a neighborhood pub. The reason at the time was that they had to supply ad- ditional parking and that they could not. Last Wednesday evening we en- joyed a wonderful dinner at Brando’s, a new 200-seat licenced restaurant on the ‘old Sager’ proper- ty —- not an extra parking space pro- vided. Was it necessary to put the Sager family through all the hassle and expense and why the change of policy in mid stream? It is obvious that it is time for a change in the mayor’s office —~ or the problems of doing business wil} go on and on.
