Children BOOKS MAY be the individual windows to the complexities of life, but personal experience is the oper. door and the blast of sharp cold air. By TIMOTHY RENSH Last weekend, 18 grade three children from North Vancouver’s Waldorf school opened that door of personal experience and spent a three- day farm orientation session at various farms in the Pemberton Valiey area. The children were hosted by several Indian families from the Mount Currie Indian Reserve. Lorna Williams, a native education consultant at the Vancouver School Board and originally from the Mount Currie area, was one of the field trip hosts. She says the trip was a first to that area for the Waldorf school. “They came up to learn about planting, farming, and life in Mount Currie, but SEAFOOD RESTAURANT JOIN US FOR LUNCH warded Ms yOu.
