Yvette Eastman will lead a
Reflexology for Relaxation
workshop on Saturday, Oct. 2
from 9 a.m. to noon at the Klee
Wyck Art & Cultural Centre (200
Keith Rd., West Vancouver).
From 2 to 5 p.m., the focus will
be on how to use reflexology for
specific symptoms, pain relief and
improved health. Eastman, a
reflexologist and founder of
Touchpsint Canadian Institute of
Reflexology and Kinesthetics, will
demonstrate techniques to relieve
stress and muscular tension and to
improve circulation of blood,
lymph and nerves. Participants are
asked to bring a towel and pillow
-and wear comfortable clothes.

WALK-A-THON... ‘che North
Shore branch of the B.C.
Schizophrenic Society is holding a
walk-a-thon on Sunday, Oct. 3 at
I p.m, to raise funds and

awareness about the irreversible -

brain. disease. Starting at John
Lawson Park in: West Vancouver,
the walk participants will proces
along the seawall and return to the
«park for a barbecue. Each walker
is raising funds through pledges.

WIDOWS’ NETWORK... British
travel specialist Audrey Sullivan
will be the guest speaker at a
Widows’. Network meeting on
Monday, Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at
the’ North Lonsdale United
Church (3380. Lonsdale Ave.,
North Vancouver). Sullivan’s topic
will be ‘‘A Traveller in London,’’
and she will speak about how to
travel in both comfort arid safety.
All widows are welcome to attend.

nual North Shore Walkabout, an
event featuring guided walks
throughout North and West
Vancouver.

All the walks are free and range
from heritage tours of Ambleside,
Moodyville or Dundarave to a look
at the natural history of Killarney
Lake (Bowen Island), Lynn Can-
yon or Lighthouse Park.

Other walks are slated for
Maplewood Flats, Grouse Moun-
tain, Seymour Demonstration
‘Forest, Hastings and Mosquito

_ Creek, Cypress Falls and Mount
Seymour.
