‘The Parks and Recreation Department has an openiag for an ice
§ Engineer. Duties will include operation, maintenance and repair of %

ice-making and resurfacing equipment and supervision of building
maintenance staff. In addition, the work includes miscellaneous
building maintenance and cleaning tasks, the manufactuze and
muintenance of new ice surfaces and assisting with technical and
trades work in other recreational facilities.

Applicanis must have: very good knowledge of operation and

maintenance of ice-making equipment and building maintenance in §
a public arena; knowledge of safety practices involved in such an

environment; ability to supervise staff; technical courses in the
operation aad repair of ice-making equipment; previous experience
as an ice-maker in 2 public arena: possession of a current
Refrigeration Operator's Certificate. A valid BC Class 5 Driver's
Liceuse is also required.

This position works a varicty of
shifis including weekends
