Cowan says the company hopes
to add the menus of another
seven or eight North Shore
restaurants to its repertoire over
the next two or three months.

Additions will feature variety
of cuisine (East Indian, Southeast
Asian, perhaps) and quality of
food.

Room Service currently
employs a fleet of seven radio-
dispatched drivers. But it is no
back-door pizza delivery opera-
tion. The name of the Room
Service game is quality product
delivered swiftly by drivers out-
fitted in the formal suit-and-tie
attire consistent with five-star
hotel restaurants. Waiters on
wheels.

No yobbos topped with base-
ball hats, chawirig on double-
bubble and equipped with the
manners of Third Worle! street
urchins at Room Service.

Presentation is a big part of
the Room Service show, and the
show is al! about elegant cuisine
to go.

Stay-at-home diners can
enjoy, for instance, a Pasta
Combination No.1 ($15 per per-
son for five pastas) from Cafe
Roma; perhaps a vegetarian
white bean cnili with homemade
cornbread ($5.95) from the
Saffron Bistro; a speciaity platter
of roast lamb, moussaka, femon
chicken, roast potatoes and veg-
etables ($18.95) from the Greek

Hop.

Room Service delivery
charges for orders from a single
restaurant are $3.90. Add $1.50
for each additional restaurant
and another $1.50 for deliveries
that fal! outside Room Service's
three basic North Shore zones.

Diners can alsc order beer
and wine from an abbreviated
Room Service beverage selec-
tion.

Add a $3.90 delivery charge
for each item ordered from the
beer and wine list.

Figure between 30 and 40
minutes for delivery time,
depending on where you live
and how many restaurants you
order from at one time.

You can pay by credit card or
cash, and don’t forget to tip your
tadio-dispatched waiter.

for the usual Friday night dining
experience, sampled Room
Service on its first night of opera-
tion, and, apart from a few
minor glitches, it came through
with flying colors.

Our Meat Feast Combo from
Cafe Roma was delivered 15
minutes ahead of the estimated
45-minute delivery time by an
agreeable waiter dressed in
