Properties, Hollyburn is an
older and more traditional

family club. - |
The first information
given to prospective

members is that there is a
two year waiting list and that
the initiation fee is $3,500. If
you remain undaunted they
“stell you it will cost $500
merely to get on the waiting
list. The monthly dues are
$56 now but by the time your
number comes up in two
years they will probably be
closer to $70.

“We offer everything” I
was told when I asked about
activities.

The. list includes tennis
(indoor and outdoor) an
olympic size swimming pool,
ice activities from curling to
figure skating, an outdoor

jogging track, excercise
equipment, a spa and
recently they have added the

trendy sports: racquetball
and squash.

The full membership is
1300 active families and they
try to keep the family at-
moshphere by catering to all

age groups.
For social minded
members there are special

functions every month .
North Shore Winter Club.
The club ‘that produced
Karen Magnussen, as they
are quick to point out, offers
all the ice sports, hockey,
curling and figure skating,
tennis, racquetball, keep fit
classes, and tennis.

The club promises “sports
for everybody at every age”
and since they added
racquetball to their facilities
they've greatly increased the
young membership.

Lessons in all the sports
are available to members.

There is no waiting list for
the North Shore Winter Club
and you can join for $300
initiation and monthly fees
of $64 for a single, $74 for a
couple and $94 for a family
