Former olympic coach stresses fun

Starting with the new 1980-81 season, Howard
Firby, world renowned swim coach, will take up
the reins as the head coach of the West Van-
couver Ouers Swim Club. Firby, who coached

Elaine Tanner, Helen Stewart,

Bill Slater and

many others to world and Olympic status, comes
to the Outers via Victoria where he has resided for

the past six vears.
