vw A8-Wednesday, May 28, 1980 - North Shore News No late closing for W. Van pub Patrons of West Van- couver’s Troller pub will have to live without an extension of drinking hours from the present 11 p.m. to midnight which had earlier been sought. Although Round Table Enterprises, which owns the Troller, just recently changed its mind and Yer tater that its application { a or later closing hours be withdrawn, West Van council decided Monday night to record its opinion anyway, because the appli- cation is still before the B.C. Liquor Control and Licensing Board. “The municipal social planner, the Community Services Advisory Commis- sion and the police and fire chiefs all agree that business hours should not be ex- tended at the Troller pub,” Alderman Diana Hutchinson told council. She also suggested that council ask the LCLB to forbid the off-premises sale of beer at any pub in West Van. “Council should go on record as denying the exten- sion of the Troller’s hours and supporting no sales of single bottles of beer or off- premises beer in West Van,” Hutchinson added. In addition council will request the LCLB to deny the application from the Troller still before the board.
