NVD approves limited bids

NORTH VANCOUVER District

Council unanimously

passed a resolution at a specia! mecting held Monday, Aug.
i6, to proceed with a limited bid proposal call for the
detailed design and construction of the massive $9.5 million

Northlands Golf Course.

The motion was passed after
council’s recent on-camera deci-
sion to reject private development
of the 133-acre (54-hectare) facil-
ity.

The deadline for submissions is
Oct, 1.

Council is expected to select the
successful bidder in eariy
November,

Council also decided on a pro-
ject management approach for
Northlands that would establish a
golf course advisory committee to
give advice .to district staff on the
development process and provide
feedback to their respective
groups.
