ing.” Schreck said Clark will
survive the scandal and the
party will live to defeat the
Liberals in the next election.

gal gambling den in the base-
ment of the North Burnaby
Inn (NBI). Pilarinos lives near
Clark and built additions to the
Premier’s residence and
Penticton cottage.

MacPhail, touted as a
potential successor to Clark,
said she thinks Clark is doing a
good job of handling the con-
traversy. “At our caucus meet-
ing on Monday, Mr. Clark, our
premier, was forthcoming with
the details and events sur-
rounding, the issue about a
casino licence and he assured
us he would be forthcoming
with the public as well.” she
said before the meeting.
