Although Hancock was not sprayed directly by the robbers, the stinging pepper spray gas in the mall's air aggravated the senior’s asthma and cardiac problems. “tt burned my throat,” said Hancock. “The December was sheer hell.” Hancock described her Christmas as “absolutely fin- ished” because of being in con- tact with the pepper spray a month before. Hancock started to feel bet- ter in January, but then had whole of pirul again. She was released about nwo weeks ago. But Park Roval Shopping Centre general manager Rick Amantea said Hancock nad not contacted him. He said no one has made a claim with the mall in connec- sien with the pepper spray rob- bery, “[ can assure you that we would deal very reasonably with any customer who was inconvenienced in Gur shop- ping centre, whether ir is through fault of our own or the fault of semebody else,” said Amantea.
