GIBBONS - Marguerite Yvonne du
Gardein Matson Gitbons died peace-
fully in Paitiative Care at Lions Gate
dospital in. North Vancouver just
after midnight on September 11,
1997. She is susvived by ier mother
Yvoone du Gardein, her sister Denise
McColl, her two daughters Yolande
dy Gardein Matson and Michelle
Matson Moore, her two sons Rob
and Phillip Matson, and by her hus-
bend Maurice Gibbons. Margot was
predeceased by her father Arthur
and brother Aste. The father of her
children was the fate Philip Matson.
Marguerite was a professional artist,
an elementary school teacher, an ac-
tive enviconimentalist, 2 devoted
mother, a wonderful partner and a
cherished friend to many people
wherever she went. She adored her
randehildren. A celebration of
argot’s life will be held at the
Shore Unitarian Church in
West Vancouver on Saturday,
September 20 at 2:00 p.m. Instead
of flowers, please send a donation to
Marguerite’s Promising Young Artist
Fund, Attention John Keech, Wood
